Role Overview
We are seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals to support a non-binary client with an intellectual disability. The ideal candidate will be comfortable and respectful in using correct pronouns and supporting LGBTQ+ individuals, while assisting with daily living skills, community inclusion, and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide person-centered support in home and community settings.
• Use and respect each person’s chosen name and pronouns at all times.
• Assist with activities of daily living, transportation, and skill development.
• Follow all agency policies, health & safety guidelines, and support plans.
• Promote dignity, independence, and inclusion.
Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED (some college or human-services experience preferred).
• Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion; ability to respect and affirm LGBTQ+ identities.
• Valid driver’s license & reliable transportation required
• Ability to pass background checks and required clearances.
