Medical Supply Chain Clerk

Job Summary

Perform material handling duties including operating of equipment for product receiving, disbursement, inventory checks, and other basic inventory management functions. Make process improvement recommendation and complete customer assigned projects.

Responsibilities

• Receive, stock, review inventory levels and place reorders as necessary on all lab supplies which will include prime vendor and non-prime vendor products.

• Ensure that clinicians receive the correct products and assist them in finding substitute items when necessary or if they are on backorder

• Ensure materials area is organized by labeling items, organizing products, establishing par levels based on usage, setting up supply areas, consolidating scattered supplies into designated locations, etc

• Serve as the primary contact for all lab departments, responding to request and providing excellent customer service. Act as liaison between clinicians and the materials management department

• Train, collaborate, performing quality checks, and providing direction to two UTMB Lab team members that support off-site locations.

• Review and make recommendation for improvements at UTMB facilities.  Standardize process and create appropriate documentation to outline Supply Chain Clerk responsibilities.

• Participate in customer meeting as requested and respond to inquiries in a timely manner.

Desired Education and Skills

• Project based experience is desired, as they will be responsible for significant organization and cleanup tasks.

• Candidates must possess computer skills, including Teams, Excel, and Outlook

• A high school diploma is required

The anticipated salary range for this position:

$18.25 – $25.50 Hourly

The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.
