Hi, I’m Yao, Director of Engineering at Moves. I am looking for a Full Stack Developer to join our growth team who will help us continue to build our product, Moves (movesfinancial.com).

We believe that work is changing from one-to-one relationships between employees and employers to a “one-to-many.” Where individuals earn income and build experience across multiple units of work, projects, tasks or gigs from various companies, collectives, apps or marketplaces. This transition challenges many of the status quo systems, processes and regulations that have been built around employment and employers, which is causing immense friction and gaps in certain parts of the economy undergoing this shift. Today, this transition is rapidly underway in retail and transportation through the rise of ‘gig apps’ like Uber, Doordash, Grab and Amazon Flex. Millions of independent contractors in the U.S. earning income from these apps exist on the edge of traditional financial services, and operate independently without the benefits provided by collective and group representation and services.
Moves’ mission is to improve the collective financial health of independent workers by providing products designed for the way they work and by bringing them together on a common platform to voice, engage and create better outcomes for all. *You are someone who embraces ownership. We are putting into place foundations for the growth technology stack that surrounds Moves and you will be a critical piece in building and owning that system.
*You are someone who loves running experiments, suggesting ideas, building, deploying, and seeing the conclusion of your team’s hypotheses.
What you’ll do 🧐
*Build end-to-end product features for core and strategic applications and products.
*Work with product managers and product designers, constantly iterating and experimenting on new product features.
*Contribute to our knowledge pool, introducing new technologies and concepts from your background, as well as learning from others on the team.
*Contribute as a key member of a delivery team, working on all phases of product development, starting close to inception all the way to delivery.
What we’re looking for 😎
*3 years+* of experience working in a full-stack or data engineering capacity.
*Having a hypothesis oriented mindset, open to visualizing projects as experiments.
*Experience working with MongoDB and SQL syntax, worked with databases in production before.
*Experience in implementing and using third-party services into applications and websites: Segment, Google Analytics, Amplitude, Braze, Branch.
*Experience in talking with third party vendors and assessing the requirements in a buy vs. build scenario.
*Hands on experience working with React Native deploying for both Android and iOS is a plus
*Experience in GCP BigQuery and Snowflake is a plus
