Position Summary
Thales requires a Senior Systems Engineering Technologist to be responsible for the infrastructure of the Thales’ National Digital Excellence Centre Canada (NDEC Canada) including the Cyber Security Operations Centre (CSOC) and the Cyber Range. The CSOC is responsible of the detection and prevention of cyber security incidents by real-time monitoring, and analysis of potential intrusions for its customers and the Cyber Range is meant to provide a secured simulated representation of an organization where professionals and students can gain hands-on cyber skills and proceed to security posture testing.
As Senior Systems Engineering Technologist, you will be responsible for ensuring project work is executed, monitored and controlled in terms of schedule, risk management, and quality of deliveries. As required, the Senior Systems Engineering Technologist may participate in various phases of engineering projects and project activities related to activities IT, OT, IoT including: network architecture, hardware requirements, software requirements, procurement, engineering and project risk management, integration tasks (i.e: installation, integration/configuration, testing/troubleshooting, maintenance, patch management, etc), lessons learned and engineering close-out activities.

Special Position Requirements
Physical: Will involve work in the server room including cabling and hardware installation
Schedule: 40 hrs/week. Overtime may be necessary depends on the demand and project schedule. Also, there is potential for On-Call support for infrastructure related service incidents and follow internal management escalation procedures when necessary.
