Koch-Glitsch Canada Field Service provides customers with high quality services including, blinding and deblending work, internal vessel work including vessel and tower repairs, revamps, and replacements. We provide services across the country at various gas plants and refineries, both during scheduled shutdowns and emergency situations as they arise. We are currently hiring Level I Tower Mechanics for upcoming projects.
WHAT WOULD BE REQUIRED IN YOUR ROLE
• Working in gas plant and refinery environments.
• Working at heights.
• Working at ground level.
• Working around cranes and rigging.
• Handling of parts and materials.
• Working as a Confined Space Safety Attendant
THE EXPERIENCE YOU WILL BRING
• Safety first attitude and execution.
• Minimum of 6 months experience working in construction or trades related environments.
• The ability to read and fill out safety paperwork, specifically confined space documentation.
• OSSA Confined Space Entry & Monitoring Certified
• H2S Alive Certified
• OSSA Fall Protection Certified
• CSTS 20 Certified
WHAT WILL PUT YOU AHEAD
• Prior experience as a Confined Space Safety Attendant.
• Prior experience working in vessels or with vessel internals.
• Prior experience working in gas plants or refineries.
• Experience with basic hand tools and equipment such as forklifts, zoom booms, air compressors, etc….
• First Aid (Level A or C)
• WHMIS
• Basic Safety Orientation (OSSA)
• Many other tickets would be considered an asset, please list all tickets when applying
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• The ability to climb stairs and ladders.
• The ability to stand for long periods of time
• Respiratory Protective Equipment training will be required.
• Must be able to perform work wearing personal protective equipment including but not limited to rain gear, chemical protective clothing, supplied air and air purifying respirators, safety harness, FRC coveralls, hard hat, ear plugs and safety glasses, etc.
• Must be willing and able to meet all Company and Customer project entry requirements including, but not limited to, specific training, , and alcohol & drug testing.
• Ability to work shifts, travel within Canada and be away for extended periods of time.
