Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group (MAPMG) invites applications for a Writer Summer Intern to join our Strategy and Communications department. This position is a full-time, 40 hours per week, internship opportunity based out of our regional office located in Washington D.C. with a hybrid work model. This internship position requires the intern to be onsite every Tuesday at our Capitol Hill regional office. Please note, this position is ineligible for benefits. Reporting to a Senior Communications Consultant, the Writer Summer Intern will collaborate with experienced communications professionals, physician experts, and spokespeople to develop content for our podcast, external websites, internal newsletters, and other public relations initiatives. This internship offers hands-on experience in healthcare communications, content creation, and media relations, with opportunities to contribute to high-visibility projects that make an impact.

The starting hourly rate for this position ranges from $20.00 to $25.00, which considers an applicant’s skills and qualifications, certain degrees and prior job experience, training, market data, and other relevant factors. Internships are non-exempt positions and are not eligible for employee benefits.
